Setup and Tools v2024

Following the original setup and tools and the Version 2022, I think it's time for the current setup and tools.

Hardware

I've been working on planning, designing, coding, and testing what I hope will be a company one day and I needed a slighly more powerful machine, so I went with a MacBook Pro 14" with the M2 chip. That chip and 16Gb of memory make the machine fly!

The whole setup while in my office is:

• MacBook Pro 14" M2
• 27" LG UltraFine 5K IPS LED Monitor
• Keychron K3 Ultra-slim Keyboard
• Apple Magic Mouse

Software

The desktop background is the M2 MacBook Pro Schematics from Basic Apple Guy

I use Mac OS stock tools whenever possible. They are simple and they get things done.

The additional tools I use are:

• Auer Notes
• Auer Jot
• 1Password
• Dropbox
• Spotify
• GCC, GO, and Xcode (for development)
• Sublime Text
• iTerm
• Little Snitch
• Backblaze (backup)
• Google Chrome (for testing the webapps)

As always, simple tools, simple setup, and an uncluttered way of working, giving myself restrictions. No complications.
