Numbers Station

I recently re-read On This Blog as a Numbers Station, an older post from Scott Nesbitt’s blog. In that post he wrote: "Over the last few years, I’ve started to see Random Notes not as a blog or even as a notebook, but as a numbers station. A tiny, semi-clandestine outpost on the web, transmitting to a small cadre of readers who get what I’m doing."

I like that idea of a blog as a "numbers station". Like him, I see this blog as something that exists out there on the internet, meant to be "listened to" only by those who know to tune in. And that’s great.

Yeah, just a simple blog that lets me broadcast whatever I need to get out of my head, nothing more than that. The people who find it and enjoy reading stick around, and the ones who don’t, don’t. Simple.

I like that. A numbers station.
