Control the Controllable

Productivity starts with knowing what you can control. Epictetus framed this through our judgments, desires, and decisions. Applied to daily work, the question is simple, framed as "is this mine to control?" If yes, pursue it, track it, and act on it. If no, let it go. Your controllables decide your todo list.

Pursue useful work and clear thinking. Turn down distractions, needless worry, and false urgency. Keep your integrity, commitments, and attention. Cut out tools, habits, and systems that add complexity without helping you act.

You do not need a second brain or a complicated productivity system. Keep the tools simple, focus on one task at a time, and control the controllable.
