A Moment In NYC
I took this picture while rushing to get the train back home. I was literally running when I took it. I had to fight with myself and the urge to say "fuck it!" and not take the picture.
But I did take it.
I had my Fuji camera with me, but it was inside my backpack. That was the issue in my head. It was more of a questioning whether I should take out the camera or not, and whether I should pause, frame the image in front of me, dial the right settings on the camera, and take the shot, or, like I did, just snap it with my phone.
Lately, I've come to realize that tools aren't what truly matter. With experience, knowledge, and practice, you can make any tool work. I can't recall who told me this, but tools don't make the master.
The picture came out better than expected. So, yeah, just capturing the moment in front of you. Each instance is unique. Once it's gone, it's gone.
